Dru Yoga Research Results

Dru Yoga research

In a 2008 randomised, controlled study on the positive health benefits of Dru Yoga in the workplace, Ned Hartfiel showed that Dru Techniques were “significantly effective” for reducing stress and improving wellbeing in the workplace.

This study found that those employees that practiced Dru Techniques for six weeks reported feeling significantly:

  • > more confident in dealing with stress
  • > more energised
  • > more happy
  • > more clear-minded
  • > more agreeable
  • > more confident
  • > more composed
  • > more purpose and life satisfaction

...then the Control Group who did not practice Dru Techniques.

This study involved 48 staff
members at Bangor University.

Half of the participants were assigned to a 6 weeks series of Dru sessions at lunchtime and half of them were assigned to a “wait-list” control group (which means that the control group had to wait till after the 6 week programme to participate in Dru sessions).
